Shamanism: An Introduction for People Ages 18-40
Many of us have experiences of an unseen dimension that interfaces with our own. Shamanism can provide a context for understanding and working with these experiences.
Shamanism is not a religion; rather, it is the oldest spiritual tradition known to humanity. Dating back tens of thousands of years, it is comprised of practices that allow us to access the unseen world in order to gain spiritual wisdom, power and healing.
This workshop will be half informational and half experiential. During the first half, participants will get a good understanding of what shamanism is, and what it is not. Participants will learn vocabulary that will help them to understand and speak clearly about shamanism and shamanic experiences. Participants also will learn a shamanic perspective on dis-ease, whether personal, familial, social or geographical, and about shamanic approaches to healing.
During the second half of our time, participants will experience an experiential introduction to the unseen worlds. Participants will be instructed in making an exploratory shamanic journey – a foundational shamanic practice – and have the opportunity to meet a spirit helper of their own.
Come, bring your questions and experiences, and leave inspired by a better understanding of shamanism and its scope. Preregistration is required, please click HERE.
